About Argentina
Its 2.77million km² are inhabited by a mere 37.81 million people (compared with 59.8 million in the UK). It is of course less developed than the UK, therefore the land is actually used advantageously; they grow their own crops on a vast scale. The estancias are productive and prosperous.
The weather should be wonderful during the polo season - it is the most comfortable time to visit Argentina. It will also enable anyone living in the Northern hemisphere to enjoy two summers in one year. The days ought to be glorious, which is why all our lessons are during the relative cool of the mornings and early evenings, the heavenly heat of the day can be spent by the pool and the nights are perfect for al-fresco dinners. It is important to realise that the further north you stay the more reliable the dry summer. It is not uncommon to have a few days of rain around Buenos Aires, whereas in Corrientes summers are usually dryer, though the estancias are far more remote.
