Other than Polo
Life on an estancia can (or needn't) include so much more than total devotion to polo! It really is up to you whether you choose to get up at the crack of dawn and work with the gauchos or whether you opt for a more relaxed morning. There can be plenty of time to relax by the pool with a good book, work on your suntan and generally appreciate this incredibly laid back way of life. It is always possible to borrow a pony and hack around the farm. Taking a picnic with you is an option. This is probably one of the most peaceful and reliable ways of spotting local wildlife. Depending upon the area in which you are staying you may see Ostriches, Capibaras (the biggest rodent in the world) and abundant bird life.
